After years of struggle, Vicky Kaushal got his first film in the year 2015 through the film “Masaan”. He played the lead role in the film and was praised worldwide for his commendable performance. 1. Masaan

In the year 2015, Vicky Kaushal got his big break in Bollywood through “Masaan”. He played the role of a boy named Deepak who was an excellent student and wanted to do something good in life. His family worked on the Ghats where bodies are cremated and they all belonged to the Dom community. His life gets shattered when the love of his life dies in an accident and he had to cremate her body himself as he worked there. He leaves the town for good in the end. His role as Deepak was really loved by the audience as he really got under the skin of the character.

2. Zubaan

Vicky Kaushal is well known for getting into the shape of the character. In 2016 he did quite a good job of playing the role of Dilsher in “Zubaan”. He portrays the role of a man who on his path of life develops a fear of music and loses faith in it. But later he fights all the obstacles to find his true worth in it. The narrative was brilliant and really caught our eyes.

3. Raman Raghav 2.0

For the first time, Vicky Kaushal was seen playing a dark character on screen. Choosing a dark role was a risk, yet he did it and proved his passion for acting. In 2016 he played the role of CP Raghvan Singh who is an investigating officer in the case of a psycho killer, Ramanna. But somewhere their dark side meets in this film and the critics really appreciated it.

4. Love Per Square Foot

This was Vicky Kaushal’s first Netflix film and his fresh look opposite his co-star Angira Dhar was really a good choice. This film was about house hunting in the city of Mumbai and the comic timing of this film was just hilarious and we couldn’t stop ourselves from loving his character.

5. Raazi

Maybe he wasn’t playing the main lead in this film, but he did justice to the role he played. This film was based on the real-life story of an Indian girl named Sehmat Khan who gets married into a Pakistani army family. She secretly works for the RAW but when things come clear, her life gets ugly as she loses everything. Vicky Kaushal played the role of her husband in it who dies in the end.

6. Sanju

In 2018, Vicky Kaushal made an impact on the silver screen with his role as Sanjay Dutt’s best friend Kamli in the film “Sanju”. He brought his character to life when he stood for his friend no matter what and helped him fight his drug addiction and showed him the right path while discovering himself too. The different shades of life were well seen in it.

7. Lust Stories

This was his second Netflix original film “Lust Stories” which released in the year 2018. Four stories were shown in this film out of which one of Vicky’s who was paired opposite Kiara Advani. He played the role of Paras who gets married without having any clue of romantic relations and how to satisfy his wife. He failed as a husband in that film but not as an actor.

8. Manmarziyaan

For the first time Vicky played such a different role, his looks were reinvented for this film and we actually couldn’t realize that it was him. He plays the role of a Punjabi stud guy who loses the woman he loves to another man. This film failed on the box-office but his character was loved.

9. Uri: The Surgical Strike

Yet again he plays a totally different role in his 2019 film “Uri: The Surgical Strike”. He essayed the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill who carries out the surgical strike in Uri, Kashmir in the year 2016 and killed all the terrorists. This film was the biggest hit of his career and earned fame worldwide.
