Movies Rejected By Kapil Sharma.

Being the reason for someone’s happiness is the most difficult thing in this world. But many comedians on TV tend to make us smile every day no matter how tense or irritated you are. Being a comedian requires a great deal of talent and perfect comic timing.

Many famous stand-up comedians have been entertaining us for ages. While many of them entertained us only for a short period, there is one name that has been entertaining us with his shows and appearances making him one of the best Indian comedians. Yes, you guessed that right! We are talking about none other than the comedian Kapil Sharma.

Recently, you all must have seen the advertisement of him for showing up on one of the most acclaimed platforms – Netflix! Kapil would soon be making his appearance on Netflix and we as his fans certainly are excited.

Kapil shot to fame overnight after winning the comedy reality television show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007 and has been entertaining us since then. Apart from this, he went on to win Sony’s TV show, Comedy Circus consecutively six times. He had not been entertaining us on small screens only but had also made us laugh with his work in movies like Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Firangi.

Though we like him more on the small screen than in movies, there were some movies that he rejected. The topic of the movies rejected by Kapil came up with the release of a new promo of the Kapil Sharma Show where the team of AK vs AK appeared for promotion.

While having a conversation, the actor Anil Kapoor listed down several movies and projects that he offered to Kapil but he eventually ended up rejecting all of them. So, let’s have a look at the Bollywood movies that Kapil refused for:

Woh Saat Din (remake)

The film, woh saat din was a romantic Hindi film of 1983 starring Anil Kapoor along with Padmini Kolhapure and Naseeruddin Shah. The film Woh Saat din acted as a life-changer movie for the lead Anil Kapoor.

The actor also came forward on Twitter mentioning the same saying that he is extremely blessed to be able to work in this film since it was this project that helped him gain name and fame in the industry and has never looked back since.

After the tremendous success of the film, the comedian Kapil Sharma was offered a role in the remake of the film. However, Kapil turned down the offer.

Mubarakan (2017)

The romantic comedy film, Mubarakan was a Sony Pictures Networks Productions. This was a multi starrer film with Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, and Athiya Shetty in the lead roles. Though the movie only managed to get a rating of 5.5 on IMDB, the film received an average response at the box office.

When the reason was asked by Anil in the Kapil Sharma show, that why he turned down the offer for the movie, the comedian could not answer up with an accurate reason and joined hands in front of him and said,” Sir, please continue offering me good projects.” Anil then responds sarcastically and says, “You know I do supporting roles, character roles, father roles these days. supports the role of your father or brother, tell me.”

Kapil then added in his signature style, “Both our eyes get shut when we laugh, we will even look like father and son. But I am afraid that you may be signed on for the role of the father and I may be the one looking like the father on screen.” Kapil shared the promo on Instagram and wrote, “Meet the evergreen superstar @anilskapoor, sir, in #tkss tonight (sic).”

Tezz (2012)

Another movie offered by actor Anil Kapoor to Kapil Sharma was the movie Tezz. Though it was a flop at the box office and grabbed a rating of 3.9 by IMDB, the movie was an action thriller and a multi starrer film again with Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Zayed Khan, Sameera Reddy, and Boman Irani in the lead roles.

The film was based upon the 1975 Japanese thriller The Bullet Train. Kapil Sharma rejected the movie giving a combined reason for both Mubarakan and Tezz.

TV Series 24

This action thriller series was the recreation of an American series of the same name. Starring actor Anil Kapoor in the lead role, the actor offered Kapil to be a part of the series, However, Kapil rejected the offer.

When asked about the same on the show, Kapil replied that he was extremely happy when he was approached for a role, however, he could not accept the same because he was about to start with his new show at that time.

Bank Chor (2017)

Another movie with an average rating of 5.9 on IMDB, Bank Chor was a black comedy film directed by Bumpy. The film stars Riteish Deshmukh and Rhea Chakraborty, along with Vivek Oberoi marking his return in a substantial role in the film after 15 years, under the banner of Yash Raj Films.

The reason why Kapil turned down the role was said to be the script of the film as per some reports. Kapil stated that he didn’t like the script of the movie and himself wanted to be the writer of the movie.

However, things could not possibly workout and Kapil marked his way out of the project.

SRK’s new TV show India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun

The TV show: India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun by Shah Rukh Khan, was a reality game show adapted from the international show “Who’s Asking?”.

There were many celebrity appearances in the show including some names like cricketers – Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Manish Pandey, and Robin Uthappa; comedians – Kiku Sharda, Upasana Singh, Johnny Lever, and Jamie Lever and many more. While Kapil was also asked to be a part of the show, it is rumored that Kapil said a no to the offer.

Refused to host the opening ceremony of Celebrity Cricket League

Even after making the makers agree to get a whopping amount of 1.25 crores for being the host of the show, Kapil walked out of the just minutes before CCL’s opening!! Strange, Right!? Well, the reason for the same is said to be the unavailability of a vanity van for the star.

While he was supposed to host the CCL with the co-host Mandira Bedi, and being treated like a prince already, Kapil walked out of the sets of the show minutes before for not getting his Vanity van.
