Sharad Kelkar is an actor famous for his appearance in Hindi films and TV serials.

Sharad is also an established dubbing artist and has given voices to many actors in hit movies.

The 44 years old actor has been active in the industry since 2004. He has worked as a fitness trainer in the past.

Sharad got the advantages of having a bulky physical appearance and got many offers to be part of the movie.

He made his Bollywood debut with the movie titled Hulchul where he played the cameo role of Dr. “Sattu” Satyendra Mishra.

He originally belongs to Jagdalpur city of Chhattisgarh and has completed his MBA in Marketing from the Prestige Institute of Management in Gwalior.

In some of his interviews, he mentioned that he happened to be in the industry by chance as he chose different career options.

After completing his education, Sharad began teaching physical education. Kelkar was a finalist in the Grasim Mr. India competition.

He made his TV debut with a 2004 TV serial called Aakrosh. Aakrosh used to air on Doordarshan.

His performance on the series was appreciated and he got some recognition.

He is married to Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar who is also a TV actress.

Keerti has previously worked in the TV serial Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar as Chandni/Devika, playing a negative role.

In 2006 the couple, Sharad and Keerti, took part in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 2.

In 2018 he appeared in three Marathi films Rakshas, Madhuri, and Youngraad. In the same year, he also worked in the music video Majbooriyan.

In 2019 he appeared in his debut short film Through Purple. In the same year, he also made his web series debut by working in an Amazon Prime Series The Family Man.

Soon afterward he appeared playing an antagonist role of Suryabhan / Michael Bhai in Housefull 4.

His other web series Rangbaaz Phirse (season 2) was released in December 2019.

The actor has done many regional cinemas as well. He consistently switched between Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood, and Marathi movies. He has played significant roles in web series and TV series as well.

Sharad has done many reality TV shows as well. He joined the shows as host as well as the participant.

For the record, he hosted Rock-N-Roll Family with Mauli Dave. Sharad and Mauli both were former contestants of Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge.

Sharad also hosted Pati Patni Aur Woh that aired on NDTV Imagine.

Later the actor participated in the reality TV comedy series Comedy Circus Mahasangram where he was paired with Paresh Ganatra and Bharti Singh.

For 3 years from 2010 to 2013, he presented the show ‘Shaitaan – A Criminal Mind.’

In an interview, Sharad confessed that he loved to play negative characters. Sharad played the grey character in Uttaran.

He entered the show along with Harsha Kandeparkar who portrayed the character of Satya’s sister.

In the 6 months of episodic runtime, Sharad impressed everyone with his negative performance.

Sharad has played the lead role in the Marathi Movie Chinu and he considered the role one of the best performances in his career.

Sharad replaced Mohnish Behl in the serial Kuch Toh Log Kahenge that was aired on Sony TV.

Mohnish was playing the character of Dr. Ashutosh and left the show in the middle due to his bad health.

As an antagonist, he has given a commendable performance in the movie Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

He was seen playing the main antagonist Sangram Singh in the Marathi movie Lai Bhaari.

He played Agent Raghav in the show Agent Raghav – Crime Branch that aired on &TV.

He loved his character and said, “Here’s a guy who is suave and dapper, with an IQ that can give even the most intelligent and shrewd criminal a run for his money.

He can do things that very few can – read people’s minds and use deductive reasoning.

I haven’t played such a character or taken up a crime series like this before. Besides, the premise of the show was unique and I couldn’t let it go.”

The actor is the voice behind the powerful Bahubali Hindi version. He dubbed the dialogues of Prabhas. He also voiced Jason Statham.

2020 is a successful year for the actor as he was seen playing Chhatrapati Shivaji in the movie Tanhaji.

Later, he was seen playing the transgender Laxmii in the movie Laxmii.

Sharad has many upcoming projects in line that include the movie titled Darbaan, Ayalaan, Bhuj: The Pride of India, Avaidh, Ek Number, and Jersey.
