The life of Bollywood celebs is something that excites us the most. All the luxuries and special treatments they get are like a dream come true for any individual!!! Right ?? However, reaching the heights of success is something that takes years of hard work which is not everyone’s cup of tea. Being an actor is not an easy task. Tons of people migrate to Mumbai to fulfill their aspirations to become a great actor however, only a few lucky ones are able to get the opportunity. We only tend to see the fame and luxuries coming to them however, their struggles remain forgotten. There are many noted celebrities of Bollywood who have acted in B grade movies, especially during their initial days. Let’s have a look:
After losing his stardom, Rajesh Khanna headed towards B-grade movies to sustain himself. India’s superstar, Rakesh Khanna was also a part of a B-grade movie named ‘Wafa: A Deadly Love Story’. Apparently, it was the actor’s comeback movie. However, nobody would have ever imagined that such an immensely talented actor would land up into something like this!!
Katrina kaif is one of the most beautiful actresses in the Bollywood industry who has established a firm career industry with her performance and skills. Her first on-screen debut in Boom featured her doing that nasty scene with Gulshan Grover which has been embedded in our minds forever. Although the scene was noticed long after she made it big in Bollywood, it made fans wonder why she did it. The film performed very poorly at the box office and the actress still claims it to be her biggest mistake in life.
Apart from Katrina, the other person who made a terrible mistake of being in the same movie Boom was none other than the superstar Amitabh Bachchan. He performed a pivotal role in this flick, which is still considered as a black dot in his life. God knows why he agreed to do such a B-grade movie! Though the film had a power-packed performance by him; but it still was B-grade movie and failed miserably at the box-office!
Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan’s movies have always blown his FANS away with his performance. But who would have thought that the Baadshah of Bollywood will also make a name in this list!! The film Maya Memsaab was another embarrassing B-grade movie starring Shahrukh which was highly controversial.
Isha Koppikar starrer- Haseena is her most embarrassing movie to date!! Though the actress has done numerous B-grade movies like ‘Haseena’, ‘Sexy’ and ‘Dangerous’, she has also worked in various amazing movies like Kya Kool hai Hum and Don but was still unable to make an impact in Bollywood.
The journey from being a waiter to being a successful Bollywood star was not easy at all. The story of superstar Akshay Kumar is full of ups and downs and struggles. Though, he is now one of the biggest Superstars in the Indian film industry, and has made it a habit of delivering mega-hits over the past few years, but, there was a time when the Khiladi appeared a 1992 Bollywood flick named Mr. Bond. The movie as expected fell low on his fan’s expectation. Even though the movie centered around the crucial Child Trafficking issue, but still it was a B-grade dud and was listed as one of the worst films in the career of Akshay Kumar.
Mamta Kulkarni was once the most popular starlets in the Indian film industry. However, she did a steamy role in 2002 in the B grade movie ‘Divine Temple Khajuraho’. The movie literally created negative impacts in her career, and finally, she said Adios to the industry in 2003 after completing the movie Shesh Bongsodar.
Ek-Choti Si Love story was perhaps the lowest Manisha Koirala went into her movie career!! In fact, the actress observed some objectionable scenes in the film for which she tried to get a stay order on the movie. But, looks like before she could recover, it was too late to improve her mistakes.
Yes, even Mithun Dada is there on the list!! The disco dancer of Bollywood was also seen in a B-grade movie ‘Classic Dance of love’ where he played the role of a religious instructor who gets attracted to a dancer in the film. Mithun Chakraborty is best remembered for his role as Jimmy in the 1982 film Disco Dancer, which was commercially successful in India and the Soviet Union and Russia. But who would have thought that he would get involved in a movie like this!!
The actress made her debut in Bollywood with the film Qayamat: a city under threat opposite Ajay Devgn. It was one of the best films done by the actress and her performance was loved by all, However, she chose to act in a bold film Sheesha which made the fans wonder that why she chose a film like that! The film, Sheesha not only ruined her name but also of her co-actor Sonu Sood!!
Rekha has always been one of the magnificent actresses in the film industry. Not many of us know that star’s name when born, was ‘Bhanurekha Ganesan’ but later came to spotlight as ‘Rekha’. Her enigmatic personality completely unjustified as to why she chose a B-grade film. Rekha in Utsav may have added the grandeur but you can’t ignore the fact that it was nothing but a B-grade movie.
