Fees Charged By Starcast Of Coolie No 1.

While we have already come across the various mistakes made in the recently released movie Coolie no 1, starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, the movie was a remake of the 1995 film of the same name. The remake of this film was released recently this Christmas in 2020 on Amazon Prime Video. Though the film was supposed to be released theatrically on 1 May 2020, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These films were directed by David Dhawan and the original film was one of the first successful movies of Karisma Kapoor. The acting of Govinda in the original movie is still remembered by the fans. However, its remake failed drastically to create that magic again. The IMDB rated this movie with only 1.3 stars making it the second most flop movie of the year 2020.

While the movie had a budget of 65 crores as per a report, have you ever wondered about the fees charged by the actors for the film? No!? Sara Ali khan – 6 crores

This Indian actress is the daughter of classic actors of Bollywood, Amrita Singh, and Saif Ali Khan, and hails from the renowned Pataudi family. She started her career as an actress with the romantic disaster film Kedarnath, opposite the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Her performance in the movie was critically acclaimed and received a positive response from the audience.

After this, she went on to be a part of various other Bollywood movies such as Simmba, Love Aaj Kal, and finally coolie no.1. Starting the list with the lead actress of the film, Sara Ali Khan, the actress played the role of Sarah Rozario, the daughter of actor Javed Jaffery in the film Coolie No.1. While she was trolled by the fans for her overdramatic acting in the film, various memes and videos are being surfaced on social media mocking the actresses.

The actress charged a whopping amount of 6 crores for working in the film as per some reports on the internet.

Johnny lever – 2 crore

John Prakash Rao Janumala, popularly known as Johnny Lever, is well known for his portrayal of comical roles in Indian films. He is one of the first-ever stand-up comedians in India who with his comedy and acting, has made a million fans worldwide. His comical performances in movies have led the actor to win various accolades and he has been a part of more than three hundred Bollywood films as of now.

Born in a Telugu Christian family, Lever established his career in the comic industry by starting to perform as a stand-up comedian in various musical shows (orchestras). The actor soon shot to fame and got his first break with Tum Par Hum Qurban.

While we have seen the actor playing versatile characters in all his films, in the film Coolie no 1, Johnny portrayed the character of Inspector Jagjit Godbole. For this, the actor charged around 2 crore rs.

Paresh Rawal – 3 crore

An actor, comedian, and politician, Paresh Rawal are one of the most lovable actors of the Bollywood industry who has been loved by the audience for ages. No matter what the role is, whether it is a comical, serious, or a villainous role, the actor has aced them all. Some of his popular characters from the films include Baburao in Hera Pheri and Kanji Lalji Mehta in OMG.

The actor also aces Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, and English languages. Paresh has been a part of innumerable Bollywood films and has even been embraced with a Padma Shri in 2004. He won as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Member of Parliament (MP) from Ahmedabad East constituency in the 2014 Indian general election.

Paresh Rawal played the character of Jeffrey Rozario in the film Coolie no.1 as Sarah and Anju’s father. The actor charged a handsome amount of Rs 3 crores for his appearance in the film.

Rajpal Yadav – 70 lakhs to 1 cr

Another comedy ace actor of Bollywood, Rajpal Yadav has a separate fan base when it comes to his acting in films. This Chota packet and bada dhamaka actor has been entertaining us with his comical performances for ages. He has been a part of countless Bollywood films where no matter whether he appears as a sidekick or a supporting actor, his performance is worth remembering and gives the audience a dose of laughter.

The actor recently appeared in two of Varun Dhawan films, Judwaa 2 and then now in Coolie no 1 for which he charged somewhere around 70 lakh to 1 crore rupees. Rajpal played the role of Pintu, Sarah and Anju’s uncle, and Jeffrey’s brother-in-law.

Javed jaffery – 2 to 2.5 crore

An established actor, dancer, comedian, and politician, Javed Jaffery has mesmerized the audience with his performances in the films especially with his comical character of Manav in the Dhamaal series. He is not only a successful entertainer but a good voice dubbing artist who lends his voice for Hindi versions of Disney characters, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Don Karnage.

His work as a voice antagonist has been immensely popular amongst kids and fans. Taking his political career into account, the actor finished fifth in the constituency securing 41,429. Apart from this, the actor represented the role of Pandit Jai Kishen/Secretary Jackson in the movie for which he took an amount of 2 to 2.5 crores.

Varun Dhawan – 20 crore

Ending the list with the main antagonist of the movie, Varun Dhawan, he played the character of Raju Coolie/Kunwar Raj Pratap Singh and Sarah’s husband. While you might think that being the son of the director of the movie, Coolie no.1, Varun might have not charged or charged some less amount for the movie, the actor charged a huge amount of 20 crores for acting in the movie.

Well, the amount might not be a shocker since he has attained a position in the Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list for being one of the country’s highest-paid celebrities. Apart from this, the actor has even worked as an assistant director to Karan Johar on the 2010 superhit blockbuster, My Name Is Khan.
