Actors Who Died In Oblivion And No One Came To Claim Their Bodies.

Bollywood is a tough world and a dicey one too. There are a lot of celebrities who shot to fame overnight and became sensations with just one hit movie. People loved them for their talent, but they soon faded into oblivion. While many stars fall in this category, there were some stars who even despite being classic stars in the industry died all alone.

While death is as unpredictable as it could be and has certainly become a popular subject. It is well said – “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.” Because no one knows what might happen the other day!!! Though Death is an inevitable part of life’s natural order, we are never prepared for freak accidents. One minute, they seem perfectly fine, and then suddenly, they’re just gone !!

There were some stars in the industry who des[pite being popular and being a heartbeat to millions, died all alone and in oblivion. It is a reality of life that you have been alone your entire life, but as soon as you die, people around you realize your importance and gather for a final goodbye. However, these Bollywood personalities were amongst the ones who died in oblivion and no one came forward to claim their bodies!!

Sadashiv Amrapurkar

The classic Bollywood actor, Sadashiv Amrapurkarhad been a part of innumerable Hindi and Marathi films. Throughout his film career, the actor had entertained us with his comical and negative roles in the films. While he mostly appeared as a supporting actor in films, his tremendous work made him one of the best actors in the industry.

The actor even received a Filmfare Award in 1991 for his negative role in the movie Sadak. Apart from being a great actor, he had also been good at sports and played first-class cricket in Ranji trophy. Surprising, Right!!?? Born and brought up in Maharashtra, the Sadashiv always desired to be an actor and actively participated in theatre during his school and college days and even won various accolades in the same.

The actor was not only a versatile actor but was a great human being as well who engaged in several social organizations. However, things turned sour and the actor died at the age of 64 in November 2014 after developing lung inflammation. Despite being such a great personality, there were only a few actors from the industry who were saddened by his death, and his death ceremony was attended by only a few stars.

Parveen Babi

This mesmerizing beauty and one of the classic actresses of Bollywood had been the highest-paid actress of her time. Taking up unconventional roles and bringing a revolution in the Bollywood industry, the actress had been a part of various cult classics of Bollywood. The actress was born in Gujarat, India. The actress began her career with modeling in 1972 and got her first film just a year after in 1973 Charitra, marking her appearance in Bollywood.

Then the actress never looked back and starred in innumerable movies including some great works in movies like Majboor, Suhaag, Kaala Patthar, Namak Halaal, etc. Talking about the personal life of Praveen, the actress’s life had been full of hardships. She was said to have been dating Danny Denzongpa, Kabir Bedi, and then Mahesh Bhatt despite which nothing worked and she went on living all alone. She even was said to have lived alone and converted to Christianity during the late 1990s.

The actress was rumored to have paranoid schizophrenia, a mental illness, to which the actress denied. However, the actress died mysteriously and was found dead in January 2005 after being alerted to police by the residents of her society. The actress supposedly didn’t come out for collecting milk and newspaper for three days after which she was reported and found dead in her house.

After her death, the doctors claimed that the actress had been starving for days and not even a grain was found in the body. No one even came up to claim the body of the actress, and her last rituals were performed by the doctors only.


In the classic movie Humraaz famed actress, Vimi died at the age of 34 years. She was a part of various other films including, aabroo and patanga. The actress gained a lot of money and fame overnight after her work in the film Hamraaz opposite Sunil Dutt in 1967 which was her debut film.

However, due to family problems and her alcoholic habits, the actress completely ruined her career. The actress died in a government hospital and her dead body was carried on a hand cart to the cremation ground where her last rites were performed. 

Gitanjali Nagpal

This sensational beauty gained immense popularity after sharing the ramp with the former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. Post this, the actress started working in films and soon gained a lot of popularity. However, the actress fell into bad habits of drugs and alcohol and she eventually lost her career in Bollywood.

In 2007, the actress was even seen begging on the streets due to financial crises. To our utter surprise, the Bollywood movie Fashion was loosely based on the life of this actress. The role played by Kangana Ranaut in the movie was of the model Geetanjali Nagpal. Following her habits, the actress was admitted to the hospital where she died.

Achla Sachdev

The classic actress of the Bollywood industry, Achla Sachdev, marked her career in the Bollywood industry as a child actor. She became famous for her prominent roles in films: Waqt and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. This Peshawari actress had been a part of innumerable films and worked in All India Radio before the partition of India.

Achala got married to Clifford Douglas Peters who was introduced to her on the sets of her film by Yash Chopra. Post the death of her Husband Peters, Achala lived alone and one day, she fell in her kitchen, post which, the actress encountered a fracture in her leg along with having multiple embolisms in her brain. Soon after this, she was paralyzed and lost her vision. As per the sources, no one came up to claim the body of the actress, not even her children. 

Inder Kumar

The Bollywood actor Inder Kumar has been a well-known actor and has given acclaimed performances in movies like Wanted, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye, and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi as a supporting actor. The actor made his debut in the Bollywood industry with the film Masoom and was shooting for the movie Phati Padi Hai Yaar at the time of his death.

The actor was even engaged in various controversies and died of a cardiac arrest at his residence. Despite being a recognized personality and a public figure, the actor’s funeral was only attended by four people.
