7 Young TV Actors Who Had A Short Career.

We truly believe in the saying, “The brightest flame burns quickest”. TV serials have an enormous impact on our society which impacts both the mind and the thought process of an individual. We are always inspired by our favorite TV shows and their characters. It’s astonishing how we emotionally get attached to these fictional characters in a short period. There are times when we get emotionally attached to the actor so deeply, that we start believing in their actual existence and leave aside the fact that they just exist on the screen. Their pain, sorrow, and happiness start affecting us!! 

While some Tv stars gained immense popularity with just one serial, it’s truly disheartening to know that they no longer exist in the real world. Though these stars are not amongst us today, with their appearance and work in the daily soaps, they will always continue to live in our hearts no matter what.

So today, with this post, we have come up with some of those daily soap actors and actresses who left the world at a very young age. Let’s have a look :

Pratyusha Banerjee

Late Pratyusha Banerjee was an Indian television actress. She had appeared in numerous television and reality shows. Banerjee first gained recognition in 2010 in the television show Balika Vadhu.

This was her first leading role in the television series where she earned her household name “Anandi”. She had participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 7 (2013). She also participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 5). ‘

However, she left the dance show, stating that she was not comfortable during the dance rehearsals. The actress was at the peak of her career and certainly could have reached heights in the industry, however, looks like destiny had some other plans and she soon left the world at the tender age of 24 years.

Even after being a part of popular shows and becoming a household name, the actress was said to have failed in her career and was found hanging in her Mumbai apartment.

Sanjeet Bedi

The late TV actor Sanjeet Bedi was a Hindi television actor who became immensely popular amongst the fans with the character of Dr. Omi Joshi in the show Sanjeevani. The actor started his career as a model and then went on to be a part of the theater before eventually landing up appearing on television.

Before becoming part of the hit serial Sanjeevani, the actor stepped into the television world in 2001 with the daily soap opera Mann. Apart from these, he was even a part of another hit daily soap opera, Kasautii Zindagi kay as Advocate Mahesh Bajaj, and various other serials including horror TV series, Aahat. However, the actor died on 24 June 2015 after failing to emerge from a coma, induced by a brain ailment. 

Abir Goswami

Now, this actor was the one who has been a part of numerous TV shows throughout his career. This Indian actor started his career with a short flick in the horror series Aahat where he appeared in two of its episodes. The actor never had a look back after and went on to work in the most popular Hindi soap opera Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Not only this, the was seen performing prominent roles in some of the immensely famous Hindi serials including, Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Kkusum, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, etc. Apart from being a popular daily soap actor, he has also worked in supporting roles in movies like Ugly, Rocky as an undercover police officer, Lakshya as Capt. Sudhir Mishra, etc.

Talking about his final goodbye to this world, Goswami died on 31 May 2013 at the age of 38 due to cardiac arrest on a treadmill.

Kuljeet Randhawa

The beautiful actress and model Kuljeet Randhawa started her career by being a model for Gladrags, a popular Indian magazine published biweekly featuring modeling and related events. Her bold and strong women-centric character portrayals were something that made her different from others at the time. She stepped into the television world with the serial Hip Hip Hurray replacing Shweta Salve as ‘Prishita’.

While her performance was much appreciated in this serial itself, she gained limelight after her prominent role in the UTV show C.A.T.S. The actress had a different approach for what was showcased in a typical serial and was highly determined to bring a revolution in the taboos that exist in our society and serials. So, when it came to choosing a role, the actress was highly selective about the roles she played since she didn’t like the portrayal of a character who weeps continuously.

Despite being a strong and competitive woman, Kuljeet hanged herself in her apartment in Juhu, on 8 February 2006. Randhawa even left a note behind saying that she doesn’t wish to live anymore as she was unable to cope with life’s pressures. She died at the age of 30.

Rubina Shergill

Born and brought up in Punjab, this Punjabi kudi was initially determined to become a professional singer. However, she soon realized that she was not destined to become one and tried her hands at acting. The actress got a chance to enter the industry with the serial Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein on NDTV Imagine and soon after this, she bagged a prominent role in the Zee TV daily soap opera, Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein in 2011.

In the serial, she was entitled to play the role of the third daughter-in-law of “Mrs. Kaushik” who was seen as “Inspector Simran Kaushik”. The actress was extremely happy with her role in the serial as she got a chance to play the role of both inspector and a daughter in law at the same time. Rubina suffered an asthma attack while she was partying with the cast and crew of the serial, on 23 December 2011 at a Mumbai-based five-star hotel.

Not having her asthma pump beside her, the actress soon lost consciousness and was immediately taken to the hospital. Then things started getting worse and she was later reported with a brain hemorrhage and slipped into a coma, eventually leading to her death.

Jatin Kanakia

Formerly known as the prince of comedy, Jatin Kanakia, was one of the talented actors who had been a part of various Gujarati and Hindi daily soaps along with appearing in films. The actor was immensely loved for his comical acts and was embraced with the title of the prince of comedy. The actor started his career in 1994 with the comedy series, Shrimaan Shrimati where he was seen as the main antagonist of Keshav Kulkarni, a married, middle-class house-holder who develops a crush on his movie star neighbor.

After the tremendous success of the serial, the actor appeared in various other series including, Kabhi Yeh Kabhi Woh, Padosan, Hum Paanch, Hum Sab Ek Hain, etc. The actor also appeared in side-roles in movies like Hum Saath Saath Hain, Khoobsurat, etc. While he was truly loved by his fans, the actor had a short-lived career since he died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 46 on 26 July 1999. 

Nafisa Joseph

This gorgeous model and MTV video jockey, Nafisa Joseph was the former winner of the Femina Miss India Universe 1997. She started her career in modeling at the tender age of 12 years and was the youngest participant in the Miss India pageant in 1997 which she ended up winning.

Later, in 1999, Joseph got an opportunity to judge MTV India VJ Hunt and was also a VJ for MTV. The VJ ran the MTV House Full show for close to five years and was also a part of the TV show, C.A.T.S. Talking about the death of Nafisa, she hanged herself in her flat in Versova on 29 July 2004. Being asked upon the reason for the same, her parents mentioned that this extreme step was taken by the actress because of her marriage being called off.

The actress could not bear the fact that her fiancee was already married and lied to her and eventually decided to end her life after being threatened by her fiance, businessman Gautam Khanduja. 

Kushal Punjabi

Young and aspiring TV actor left the world at the age of 42. He was famous for winning reality tv game show of the Indian Version of Total Wipeout. He also appeared in movies like lakshay,Kall, De Dana Dan Goal, salam-e-ishq and a TV carrer of more than 20 years.
