Being a celebrity isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Constantly smiling for shutterbugs, looking best-in-class even on a Sunday morning, and responding to dumb and irrelevant questions. While they often let it go while dealing with the most senseless questions imposed by reporters, there are times when they decide to fight back.
Here are a few instances that show how the paparazzi just can’t do without making meaty stuff. Ranging from asking a vague question to poking nose in their personal businesses, the media pins down all stars. And that’s exactly when our B-town celebs lose it.
Coming your way is a series of hard with superb combacks, more like, “on your face!”
When a reporter asked Alia Bhatt a question on general knowledge.
So, it was just a regular episode aired on a talk show, and the whole country switched on their trolling machine. But this one time when a reporter tried to take a dig at her by asking if she knew why Holi was celebrated, Alia thought of walking off. “Do you know who South Africa’s president is? Do you know who Singapore’s president is? China’s president? Don’t ask if you don’t know, bro,” Alia responded.
When Anushka Sharma was indirectly questioned about Virat Kohli.
So a reporter went on to ask, “Do you talk to any players to wish them before a big match, to encourage them? Have you spoken to any of them lately to wish them for the World cup?”
Well, Anushka obviously knew where this was heading to. So, she ditched the sugar-coated way and said, “Like I said, this topic is not related to my film. And it’s a very personal question, that who did you call yesterday? Show me your call list to see who all you called or didn’t call. So it’s very personal…Nobody really wants to know this, quite honestly.”
When Kangana Ranaut was asked if she will dance at any celebrity’s wedding.
We have tons of crucial stuffs to talk about but somehow the media though of this as a relevant question!
Kangana, being the queen that she is shut the person down by saying, “Are you making fun of me? Do I look really simple to you? I’ll give any answer or what? *Burnt*
When a reporter who didn’t even know about periods, asked Parineeti Chopra about it and mentioned it as ‘problem’.
“PROBLEM? When there’s a ‘problem’ then periods don’t happen. That’s what I’m trying to tell you…,” this was Parineeti’s instant reaction. She further added, “It’s shameful that you’re 24 and you don’t know about periods. It’s so sad. Men really need to relax and understand what periods are. They need to understand that, this is not a problem. And when a girl doesn’t get her period, that means she is sick. It’s a healthy and natural thing. We aren’t doing anything wrong, if we have our periods we don’t have to go into hiding.” Well, we hope the reporter would never quote periods as such an offensive tag again.
When a reporter offended Priyanka Chopra by asking her about her on-going ‘romance’ with Shah Rukh Khan.
There came a phase when nobody could get over the half-baked rumours going around PeeCee and SRK. Taking advantage of it, a reporter tried to be sly and asked her, “Don’t you think if you and Shah Rukh hosted this show (referring to the Filmfare awards), then there would be more fun and romance and we would have fun watching it?”
To which PeeCee decided to answer the bare minimum and said, “I can do this with anyone, it’s my job.”
“You said before you got late today because of your shoot, but before this Shah Rukh used to come even later,” the reporter further added.
To this Priyanka quickly interrupted and said, “You want me to take his name? You want me to answer and you want that there’s some drama, and I won’t let that happen. Keep asking, and I’ll keep laughing.” *Savage*
When Ranbir Kapoor defended Deepika Padukone for a question thrown upon her by a noisy reporter.
So, this person ended up asking Deepika if she will be ready to sport another such ‘RK’ tattoo for other films that she’ll be doing.
Before Deepika could answer, a protective boyfriend Ranbir answered instead and said, “I think this is an amazingly shameful question. Deepika didn’t get a tattoo for a ‘promotion’. It’s really silly… I don’t think that any actor in the film fraternity, do things for the promotion of marketing a film. Even we have a life, a personal life, doing films is a job for us. We do a lot for these films, but when we go home, we have our own personal life. We have our parents, our family, our friends. So I think you should respect that.”
Well, having gone through this article, one thing justifies for itself that nobody messes with our filmy stars!
