The year 2020 is proving to be a very wasteful year for the whole world. People are still troubled by the havoc of Coronavirus. This year has also been full of sorrow for the Bollywood industry.
Due to the lockdown, similar work is not being done in the industry, and on top of this, many veteran stars have also said goodbye to the world this year.
For instance, in the last 34 days, 11 celebrities have gone to heaven.
1. Wajid Khan
Bollywood’s famous musician duo Sajid-Wajid’s Wajid Khan is no longer in this world. He died on the night of 31 May due to coronavirus and kidney problems. He was a very positive and cheerful human being with great musical skill. The whole Bollywood mourns over the loss of musician Wajid Khan.
Sajid–Wajid was an Indian music director duo consisting of brothers Sajid Khan and Wajid Khan. They are the sons of Sharafat Ali Khan, a known Tabla player. Wajid Khan is the younger brother.
2. Mohit Baghel
Famous comedian and actor Mohit Baghel breathed his last on 23 May at the age of just 27. He had been fighting cancer for many years.
Mohit had also worked with stars like Salman Khan, and Parineeti Chopra in movies like Ready and Jabariya Jodi. He also featured in the Bunty Aur Babli 2 starring Sidhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari.
3. Irrfan (Irfan Khan changed his name in 2012)
On 29 April 2020, the film’s finest artist Irfan Khan went to heaven. He was suffering from a rare disease called a neuroendocrine tumor. He has been undergoing treatment since 2018.
When he was not well, he was brought to Kokilaben Hospital where he breathed his last at the age of 53.
4. Sachin Kumar
42-year-old actor Sachin Kumar died on 15 May due to a heart attack. Akshay Kumar’s cousin also used to be in acquaintance with Sachin Kumar.
He acted in the serial ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’. Later, he became a photographer and continued with his profession.
5. Rishi Kapoor
The grief of Irfan Khan’s departure had not cooled down yet on the next day i.e. 30th April, Rishi Kapoor had said goodbye to the world. Rishi Kapoor lost his life due to leukemia, which is a type of blood cancer.
Rishi Ji was diagnosed with this cancer in 2018. He was in New York for a long time for his treatment.
6. Shafiq Ansari
52-year-old Shafiq Ansari died on 10 May. He was a well-known actor in the TV industry. He was suffering from cancer. He was seen portraying many roles in the popular show Crime Petrol.
Little do you know that Shafiq Ansari also worked as a screenwriter for the show.
7. Yogesh Gaur
Yogesh Gaur, the finest lyricist of the bygone era, died on May 29. Many people in Bollywood were saddened by his death. Yogeshji did a lot of work with Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee.
His notable works include Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli and Kahin Door Jab Din Dal Jaaye from Aanand and Rajnigandha Phool tumhare from Rajnigandha.
8. Manmeet Grewal
TV actor Manmeet Grewal committed suicide on 16 May. He stopped working in the lockdown. He lived in a rented flat with his wife. He was 32 years old. He is famous for his role in Aadat se Majboor.
Abhijeet was a key member of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment Company. He died on 15 May. He had a good relationship with Shah Rukh Khan.
There are many times during the interview when Shah Rukh Khan came forward to say Abhijeet is one of the big assets of Red Chillies Entertainment Company. Shah Rukh Khan, while expressing his emotion on his death, wrote, ‘We will miss you very much, friend’.
10. Sai Gundevar
Sai Gundewar was an Indian model, actor, voice-over artist, and entrepreneur. His popularity rose in 2010 after his participation in the fourth season of the hit reality TV show MTV Splitsvilla.
Sai Gundevar was a part of films like PK ‘and’ Rock On’. He died on May 10 at the age of 42. He had brain cancer.
Amos was an assistant to Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. He breathed his last on May 12 at the age of 60.
He had been working with Aamir Khan for 25 years. Many people in Bollywood were close to him. He died due to a heart attack.
